Lauren + Jack // Bruny Island Elopement

The most intimate Bruny Island elopement.

On a little island off Tasmania’s South East Coast Lauren and Jack decided to get wed. It was unlike any other ceremony I have been a part of, a true secret Bruny Island elopement deep in the forest at a specially chosen hideaway. My good friend and the most caring celebrant I know, Merren from Cinta guided the ceremony through laughter, reflection and tears. I’m almost struggling to write about the experience, it was in some ways other-wordly and in other ways the simplest and truest expression of togetherness I have seen.

After the beauty of the forest ceremony we all jumped into the van and headed for the lighthouse on South Bruny via a burnt tree bush setting and a glorious beach. As we hiked up to the lighthouse the sky shifted constantly in the wake of forest burn offs. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
